Kate Allen Fox

Kate Allen Fox is an award-winning nonfiction and science author. Her picture books include: Pando, A Living Wonder of Trees, A Few Beautiful Minutes: Experiencing a Solar Eclipse, Winter Solstice Wish, Scratching the Surface: Exploring Earth's Layers, and Summer Solstice Wish . She coauthored her first nonfiction book for adults, Go Play: How Parents Can Empower Kids to Build Their Own Worlds in 2026. Her books have received starred reviews and awards, including NCTE honors and being named among the best books of their publication years. She lives in California with her husband and two sons.
