Laura Shovan

Laura Shovan is Pushcart Prize-nominated poet with over 100 publications in journals and anthologies, both for children and adults. Laura’s award-winning children’s books include The Last Fifth Grade of Emerson Elementary, Takedown, and the Sydney Taylor Notable book A Place at the Table, written with Saadia Faruqi. Laura is a longtime poet-in-the-schools. She teaches at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her latest book for kids is Welcome to Monsterville.
